Bounty Hunting
When Brave Frontier Global shut down in 2022, some of the game's data only ever lived on gumi's servers and was lost. This board lists the pieces BF Revive is still missing. Every bounty names the exact file, table or fight we need and what kind of source works.
The rule: if it's not on this list, we don't need it. Please check the bounty and the Already have list before you send anything.
28 open bounties. Status: Wanted (nobody has found it yet), Partly found (some of it came in, the rest is still wanted), Found (done, thank you).
How to send
Post in the Discord forum channel #bounty-hunting, one post per bounty:
- Title: the bounty ID first, then a few words, e.g.
[EU-1] unit_cgg files from my old EU phone. - File: attach it, or link it (Google Drive, Mega, Dropbox, YouTube for videos). Zip folders with many files.
- Where it came from: e.g. an old phone's app data, an APK or OBB (with its version), a Windows install, a datamine, your own video. Add the date if you know it.
- Videos and screenshots: say which quest or screen it is, and show the whole fight: every wave, the boss's HP bar and every skill it uses.
Staff check every file before it's used, and submitted files are never run or installed. Only send game data. Never send files that hold your login, like UserDefault.xml, an account transfer code or a password.
Battles
Almost every quest is playable, but most fights are rebuilt: the original enemy waves, stats and boss skills only ever came from gumi's server, so no APK, OBB or install holds them. Only 192 quests have their real battle, from 2014 network captures. What works: a saved network capture of the game's MissionStart replies (HAR, mitmproxy, Charles, pcap: search it for U0v5IeJo), or a full unedited video of the quest where every wave, the boss's HP bar and every skill banner can be read.
Look up any quest (every mission, by mode and area): battles-all.txt

- What it is
- The weekly featured events start on 26 October. All 30 of their quests, including the 16 that pay event tokens, fight rebuilt waves.
- Where it's used
- The weekly featured event in the Vortex: Realm of the Gods (with Defend the Gates), Brave Summer 2020 (with Summer 2020 Daily), House of Valen (with Gortius Daily) and Brave Spring's Treasure Paradise.

- We accept
- A network capture of the MissionStart reply for the quest
- A full video of the quest: every wave, the boss HP bar and its skill banners
- Screenshots of every wave and every boss skill banner (weaker, but useful)
- Why not the wiki
- These 2020-2021 event pages give the boss name at most. 21 of the 30 quests had nothing usable.
BATTLE-7WantedHigh priority
13 famous bosses still replaced by a stand-in (Creation God Odin, Lucius, Mora's Shadow and others)
- What it is
- We know who the real boss is, but its fight hangs on a rule the wiki doesn't spell out (a lethal skill only when a debuff stays uncleansed, an add that has to die first, a turn-50 enrage). Until we see the real fight, these quests keep a stand-in boss.
- Where it's used
- Story and Vortex quests, among them
10170 Smiling Trickster, 10270 Destroyed God, 10470 Curious Lesser Gods, 10870 Final Seal, 1577 Facing the Sealed God (Lucius) and Creation God Odin. These quests are also in their area's list. - What to look for
- Mission ids
10170, 10270, 10470, 10870, 10766, 22063, 10734, 1577, 8301301, 8301692, 8301711, 8301731, 25530004 - For each: the boss HP, every skill with the turn or HP% it fires on, what triggers its special, and the adds
- We hold the original AI for
1577, and probably for 10734 and 10270, so there only HP/ATK/DEF and which skill each turn fires are needed
- Full list
- battle-7.txt (13 entries, plain text)
- We accept
- A network capture of the MissionStart reply
- A full, unedited video where every skill banner and the boss HP bar can be read (not a one-turn nuke)
- Why not the wiki
- The wiki names each skill but describes the trigger in words, and the exact conditions are what the fight depends on.
BATTLE-1WantedHigh priority
Main story, Grand Gaia (Mistral to Bariura): real enemy waves, stats and bosses
- What it is
- 523 of the first world's quests run on rebuilt waves (only 32 have their real 2014 battle). Many regular enemies still have placeholder stats, and the bosses' HP and which skills they use are estimates.
- Where it's used
- Quest > Grand Gaia: Mistral, Morgan, St. Lamia, Cordelica, Amdahl, Encervis, Palmyna, Lizeria, Ryvern, Agni, Mirvana, Lanara, Vriksha, Aldahlia, Atharva and Bariura.
- What to look for
- For each quest: the monster rows (
U0v5IeJo: HP, ATK, DEF, AI and skill per slot, drops), the monster groups per wave (75t0sx9z) and the battle groups (pj41dy9g) - Island finales and big bosses first, e.g.
85 The Forged Gigantor, 90 Asleep in the Ice, 265 The Eroding Barricade, 365 Creator of the World

- battle-1.txt (523 entries, plain text)
- We accept
- A network capture of the MissionStart reply
- A full video of the quest showing every wave and the boss's skills
- Screenshots of each wave with the enemies' names (weaker)
- Why not the wiki
- The wiki lists bosses and sometimes their HP, but rarely the waves before them, and never ATK, DEF or the AI.
BATTLE-2WantedHigh priority
Main story, Ishgria and Elgaia: real enemy waves, stats and bosses
- What it is
- The second and third worlds (537 quests) run on rebuilt waves, including every god and seal boss.
- Where it's used
- Quest > Ishgria (Celgrad to Mildran) and Quest > Elgaia (Bectas to St. Creek).
- What to look for
- The same MissionStart data as BATTLE-1, for each quest in the list
- Shadow and seal bosses first, e.g.
10170 Smiling Trickster, 10270 Destroyed God, 10870 Final Seal, 22063 Thundering Roar - Elgaia's AI is missing too. For Ishgria we hold part of the AI already

- We accept
- A network capture of the MissionStart reply

BATTLE-4WantedHigh priority

- What to look for
- For each trial: boss and add HP, ATK and DEF, the waves, and which skill fires on which turn
- No AI at all yet for:
2000014 Rainbow Goddess, 2000015 Genius's Challenge, 2100007 The Holy Emperor, Battle No. X1/X2, Hellborn Nightmare, the Summoners' Training Camp, Chapter 3 Rounds 600000-600030, Neo New York Again
- Full list
- battle-4.txt (54 entries, plain text)
- We accept
- A network capture of the MissionStart reply
- A full, unedited trial video where every skill banner, the turn and the boss HP bar can be read (pick ones that aren't one-turn nukes)
- Why not the wiki
- Trial pages give skill names and rough notes like "at 50% HP" or "every 3 turns", not exact conditions, ATK or DEF.
BATTLE-3WantedMedium priority

- We already have Shock Claw's rate for 3 missions and the Mithril/Orihalcum missions; the list marks what is held and what is still wanted
- Full list
- raid-1.txt (17 entries, plain text)
- We accept
- Screenshots of the raid results (materials page) that show the item
- Old personal drop logs or spreadsheets
- Old gumi forum or Reddit posts with drop rates (except the Reddit raredrops page, which we have)

EU units
We hold the data and most art for all 225 EU-only units. A battle sprite also needs its unit_cgg_<id>.csv (how to cut the sprite sheet into body parts). Public sources cover 209 of them already, so only these are left.
EU-1WantedMedium priority
6 EU units that can't be drawn in battle: their unit_cgg file
- What it is
- For these six EU-only units nobody has the file that cuts the sprite sheet into body parts, and no look-alike unit's file fits. We hold their sprite sheets and animation timing.
- Where it's used
- The unit's battle sprite (standing, moving, attacking, bursts). Without it the unit can't be added.
- What to look for
unit_cgg_710247.csv Esteemed Professor Olgaunit_cgg_730277.csv Cute Medic Dariaunit_cgg_750137.csv Draconic Goddess Llewxamunit_cgg_750277.csv Lonely Blade Iaroslavaunit_cgg_750287.csv Hope Champion Arthurunit_cgg_760277.csv Academy Apex Aleksandra
- We accept
- The EU app's data folder from an old Android phone or backup (it keeps downloaded
content/unit/cgg/ files) - An EU APK/OBB or install backup with
content/unit/ files - An EU asset dump with the
cgg csv files - Video of the unit only as a reference for a hand rebuild
- Why not the wiki
- EU unit pages have the full art and thumbnail only.
EU-2WantedLow priority
10 EU look-alike units: their own unit_cgg (and some CGS) files
- What it is
- These ten EU units share their sprite layout with an earlier form or a Global look-alike, so we can probably draw them with that file. Their own files would make them exact.
- Where it's used
- The unit's battle sprite.
- What to look for
unit_cgg_<id>.csv for 710157 Warlord Coal Cauldron, 720104 Lovestruck Sergio, 720137 Pure Aymarks & Ylzzirg, 720147 Abyssal Admiral Cornelius, 720187 Cancer of Sacrifice, 730137 Fearless God Sotnarg, 740167 Handsome Prince Mordred, 750177 Gemini of Abomination, 750307 Duality Queen Freyja, 760187 Scorpio of Secretsunit_atk_cgs_<id>.csv, unit_idle_cgs_<id>.csv and unit_move_cgs_<id>.csv for 710157, 720104, 720137, 720147, 720187, 730137, 750177, 760187
- We accept
- The EU app's data folder from an old phone or backup
- An EU APK/OBB or asset dump with
content/unit/ files
Art and interface files
GATE-1WantedLow priority
Original background art for 6 summon gates

- Where it's used
- Summon gates SMT IV Apocalypse (
10480), Fairy Tail (14360), Collab Mix (15280), My Hero Academia (15480), Tokyo Ghoul (16920) and Dawn Summon (18060). - What to look for

content/gacha/
- We accept
- The original files from an install, app cache or Windows LocalState folder from 2016-2019 (scrambled LocalState images are fine, we can unscramble them)
- An old Android phone's
Android/data/sg.gumi.bravefrontier/ folder (or an iPhone backup of the app), which keeps the files the game downloaded
- Why not the wiki
- Gate backgrounds from before November 2019 are not on the wiki at all.
UI-1WantedLow priority
80 interface images and small UI files
- What it is
- Buttons, labels, frames, cut-ins and a few layout files the game refers to that nobody has: things like the multiplayer battle frames, the critical-hit and spark graphics, the Brave Slots free-spin images and guild boost icons.
- Where it's used
- Many screens. Today they show as blank space.
- What to look for
- Most wanted, because players' games ask for them right now:
slot_freespin_base.png, slot_freespin_btn_on.png (Brave Slots free spin) and thumb_exclamation_mark_1.png (a story icon) - The rest have exact names in the list, e.g.
BattleCritical.png, Cutin.sam, guild_exp_boost.png, multi_battle_ready.png
- Full list
- ui-1.txt (80 entries, plain text)
- We accept
- The original files from an install's downloaded content, an app cache, an OBB or a Windows LocalState folder
- An old Android phone's
Android/data/sg.gumi.bravefrontier/ folder (or an iPhone backup of the app), which keeps the files the game downloaded
- Why not the wiki
- The wiki doesn't keep interface files.
Already have: please don't send
We already hold all of this. Sending it again only buries the files we really need.
